OUR STORY

I was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on California Street where I lived with my mother and sisters. Our house was overlooked by the home of my grandparents, which sat on a small hill, and several of our extended family members were our neighbors. California Street was our mecca. It served as the central location where many of our family members and friends frequently gathered. We created many memorable moments there throughout the years. My eldest sister frequently referred to it as paradise, because of the pleasant feelings associated with it. After my family relocated, my sisters and I would frequently say, "let’s link up in paradise,” and met up with one another at our old home on California Street. Paradise was our escape and a place to express our dreams and aspirations. 
Serendipitously, I moved to the state of California in 2014 to pursue my dreams of modeling. That dream realized birthed the vision for California Street Paradise Apparel. California became paradise for me in ways that I never imagined. It was the place that molded me into the woman that I am today. It reminded me of my birthplace, California Street, a place that was inviting.
